Overview

Henderson & Weatherly, Co., LPA is a criminal defense law firm. We believe in the philosophy that when a lawyer's talents are focused on one area of law, and one alone, there is a much greater opportunity for success. Our offices do not take civil cases. We do not draft wills. We don't litigate divorces or settle matters of child custody. We represent people who have been accused of a criminal and/or traffic offense. We could operate in many various aspects of law, but we believe that it is better to excel at one specific area of law than to operate in mediocrity over several different areas. That is why we choose to practice only criminal defense.

Our attorneys have experience in handling cases at the municipal, state, and federal levels. We have successfully taken cases to trial at all levels, and use aggressive negotiating techniques to achieve favorable plea agreements for our clients as well. Whether you have a speeding ticket or an OVI in a court in Chardon, a Domestic Violence case in Cleveland, a murder case in Lorain, or a federal drug case, our attorneys have the experience to handle your case properly. We have practiced in every court in the greater Northeast Ohio area. We know every court, every judge, every prosecutor, every possible way to defend your case, and we are standing by right now waiting for the opportunity to help you.

At Henderson & Weatherly, Co., LPA, our goals are your goals, and we will not rest until we meet them. Our attorneys are part legal representative, part problem solver, and part counselor. We know that a traffic or criminal offense can affect a person's freedom. However, even when jail time is unlikely, such charges can still disrupt a person's entire life. For most of our clients, it is the first, and perhaps only time they will find themselves being prosecuted by the government. It can be a terrifying and overwhelming experience. Fortunately, the advice and service we provide to our clients is not strictly limited to the courtroom. If your license is suspended due to an OVI, we will help get you back on the road. If you know a key witness to your case but can't get him on the phone, we will track him down. We take statements, visit crime scenes, and ensure every piece of evidence is checked and double checked for mitigating material. We ensure that all of our client's constitutional rights are preserved. We are available to our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Though no lawyer can guarantee results, there is always a best possible outcome to every case. That will always be our goal. Even if we can't win a case, we spend the time and make the effort to make sure all of our clients do and say all the rights things in and out of court, ensuring the greatest possible leniency with every judge.

Every client has a different goal. Some want to keep their driving record or criminal record clean. Others just want to stay out of jail. Whatever the goal, we will never cease to work to achieve it. We want our clients to live their lives as normally as possible while their cases are pending. We want them to sleep easy with the knowledge that when our office is working on their case, that everything that can be done, is being done. If this is the type of lawyer you want for your case, call us immediately. We offer free consultations, reasonable rates, and accept both credit cards and payment plans. Call now and speak to a real lawyer with real experience who can give you real advice right when you need it.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “A person that represents himself has a fool as a client”. Obviously there are many instances in life where you wouldn’t want to legally represent yourself but when it comes to finding a good Cleveland Criminal Attorney, most people don’t have a clue what they need to look for in a qualified Cleveland Criminal Attorney.

Where to Search for a Qualified Cleveland Criminal Attorney

Start by pinpointing your need and gathering a list of appropriate candidates. Also ask other professionals you know. Government officials deal with Criminal Attorneys on regular bases and they may be able to give you a good recommendation for your specific need.

Check out your local telephone directory and call your city or state's Bar Association. Almost every bar association has a Cleveland Criminal Attorney referral service. They can provide you with a few names of qualified Criminal Attorneys whose area of expertise fits your needs. Look for online resources. The internet is a great way to search for anything you need including a good Cleveland Criminal Attorney. Still they may be a reliable source of information and can possibly provide a recommendation for a reliable Cleveland Criminal Attorney. Check with your local legal aid office, social services department or office for the aging to find out if you are eligible.

I was struggling financially and I needed help from Attorney Weatherly. He did an outstanding job on my case, and allowed me to pay him over time. It took me a while, but he deserved to be paid for the job he did.
